esCarpade 2009 outperformed Camp Quality's greatest expectations with...$1.15 million raised!

Now in its 18th year, esCarpade has raised millions of dollars for Camp Quality, travelled over 52,000kms and visited over 275 towns across Australia.
This year's esCarpade ventured through the outback after 2 years of running up and down the eastern seaboard. This year, the route will see campers travel from Nowra to Gilgandra, 3,000km north.
Mitch Burgess, of Banjor NSW, was a 'camper' following his diagnosis 15 years ago of severe aplastic anaemia and subsequent bone marrow transplant, with Laura, his sister, as his donor when he was 6 years old.
Lyn, Laura, Mitch, Jace and Sam Burgess first participated in esCarpade as a family in 2003, after sponsors donated a car and then helped create "Car 20", a 1980 VC Holden Commodore Station Wagon. In 2007, Mitch and 4 of his close friends prepared and entered their own two cars, VL Commodore Sedans, "Car 93" (Pink) and "Car 94" (Orange) for esCarpade.
As a firm supporter of the works of Camp Quality, McGrath Holden Sutherland sponsorsed the Burgess family on their outback adventure.
